Fused glass earrings handmade by Frances of Flick Glass in Muizenburg. These unique fused glass earrings are made from layers of dicroic glass, fired in a kiln. Dicroic glass is made by coating the glass with multiple layers of metal oxides. These coatings transmit certain wavelenghts of light which create an interference effect similar to the iridescence seen in fire opals, dragonfly wings and hummingbird feathers.
