LIFE
CHANGING WRITING COMPETITION
|
Royston
based Cape Gem has announced a short story writing competition
to win one of their coveted Mielie handbags and
a free copy of the hotly tipped book “For better
for worse, for richer for poorer” by co author
and self professed Mielie fan Siobhan Horner, which, published
by Orion books hits the book shops on 13th June.
“ Our bags are touted by this month’s issue of SHE magazine as the
handbag to have for summer holiday chic - perfect to pack your page turning beach
read in, such as the Horners revealing and life changing account of leaving London
behind to seek new adventures with their young family abroad” said Carol
Lovell, founder of Cape Gem.
" Mielie employs up to fifty township ladies who work from home creating
beautiful bags while staying at home with their families, so saving on childcare
and commuting costs and providing much needed jobs for otherwise impoverished
people. They effectively change lives for people" said Horner who is
to judge the competition.
" We would like entrants to write a short story of no more than 3000 words
that includes either making changes to other people's lives as Mielie does,
or as in the Horners' case, about making a change or changes to your own life."
| All entries must be submitted
to louise@capegem.co.uk by
15th July 2009. The winning entrant's piece will be
posted on to www.capegem.co.uk on 21st July 2009 and
he or she
will receive their bag and book in time for the holidays. |
